Fragrance used in consumer products must be not only appealing but also fully compliant with strict industry regulations. At Parfums Plus, regulatory compliance and product safety are integral parts of our development process. We ensure full alignment with IFRA and REACH standards, conduct rigorous safety assessments and raw material analyses, and provide comprehensive technical documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and detailed product specifications. This structured and transparent approach offers tangible support to technologists and procurement teams by minimizing compliance risks and facilitating a smooth, efficient, and secure product launch process.
Collaboration Model — From Brief to Finished Composition
Fast Project Kick-Off
We begin with a technical brief in which, together with the client, we define:
- the olfactory direction,
- the target market and cultural expectations,
- application and technical constraints,
- regulatory requirements,
- the desired intensity, diffusion and longevity of the fragrance.
The brief creates a clear framework for the project and guides each stage — from the first fragrance proposals and application trials to the approval and industrial production of the final composition.
Perfumers
Our perfumers translate the brief into fragrance proposals. Combining traditional French perfumery expertise with modern development tools, they select raw materials and shape each composition around the product concept, brand positioning and the technical requirements of the intended application.
Throughout the project, they develop and refine successive versions based on application testing, internal evaluation and client feedback. Their role is to create a distinctive fragrance that reflects the agreed olfactory direction and performs reliably in the finished product.
Evaluators
Our evaluators guide the project from the first trials to the selection of the final composition. They assess each proposal against the brief, compare successive versions and take into account market trends as well as the cultural, technical and regulatory requirements of the target market.
Working closely with the perfumers and the client’s team, they structure feedback and translate it into precise directions for further refinement. This supports faster, more informed decisions and helps keep the fragrance consistent with the product concept and the brand’s wider portfolio.
Production
Once the final composition has been approved, it is transferred to production at our modern facility in France. The scale-up from laboratory development to industrial manufacturing is carried out under controlled conditions to preserve the agreed formula, olfactory profile and performance of the approved sample.
Our computer-controlled and automated systems allow us to manufacture batches from 10 kg to several tonnes, with every ingredient weight recorded digitally. Each stage is monitored and documented to provide:
- full traceability of every production batch,
- consistent quality from one batch to the next,
- flexible production volumes and reliable lead times.
This controlled production process ensures that the approved fragrance can be manufactured reliably and supplied in line with the requirements of the client’s project.
Quality Control at Every Stage
Quality control accompanies the project from raw material reception through production and final batch release. Each finished batch is checked against the approved sample and agreed technical parameters, including chromatographic, olfactory and physicochemical verification where required. This helps ensure consistency, safety and compliance with the regulations applicable in the target market.
